BYOB or Bring Your Own Bag is an eye-catching design informing viewers about an upcoming makeup class in Chicago. CEO of Mezi Cosmetics, Karla Arias and CEO of Beautique By Liraz, Liraz Drillman collaborated to create a makeup class focused on teaching individuals how to do he or she’s own makeup by using the tools in their makeup bag. The goal was to make people feel confident in their everyday routines.

To present itself with confidence and captivate the interest of a viewer, the design uses the elements of contrast, value, and emphasis. The 5 in X 5 in digital version was used for social media marketing on Facebook and Instagram. The flyer was printed out and hung at the location of the event.

This dynamic design uses a unique typography effect, a colorful purple and pink gradient, and explores the layering of graphics and textures. It’s well use of balance, unity, and visual hierarchy in the layout clearly communicates the information to the audience. The design was created using both Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
